Power Utility Chief Calls for Faster Electricity Projects in Northern Afghanistan

Abdul Haq Hamkar, CEO of Afghanistan’s power utility, emphasized accelerating electricity projects during a visit to northern provinces.

According to the company, he met officials in Baghlan and Samangan and instructed them to ensure continuous monitoring of power facilities and development projects without delays. He also visited substations, technical facilities, and key infrastructure sites.

Hamkar reviewed sections of the 500kV imported power transmission projects from Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, stressing coordination, quality implementation, and timely completion. He said these strategic projects are vital for strengthening the power sector and ensuring sustainable electricity supply.English
