The National Twenty20 Cricket Tournament “Omid Watan” has officially begun in Kunduz province, featuring zonal teams from across Afghanistan.
According to the Afghanistan Cricket Board, two opening matches were played, where Bost and Mis Ainak secured victories against Spin Ghar and Amo.
In the first match, Spin Ghar posted 115 runs in 16.4 overs. Bost successfully chased the target in 16.5 overs, scoring 116 runs for the loss of six wickets. Noman Shah scored 45 runs, while Ejaz-ul-Haq was named Player of the Match for his two-wicket performance.
In the second match, Amo scored 171 runs in 20 overs. Mis Ainak chased the target in 19.2 overs, scoring 175 runs with five wickets in hand. Mohib Khan remained unbeaten with 64 runs and was awarded Player of the Match.
Teams participating include Spin Ghar, Amo, Bost, Mis Ainak, and Band-e-Amir, representing different regional zones.
