The construction of a new school in Dishu district, Helmand province, has been completed, according to education officials.
The “Khalid bin Walid” school includes six classrooms and essential facilities, built at a cost of 12.5 million AFN with financial support from UNICEF. Officials said the project will provide a proper learning environment for hundreds of students.
Local residents welcomed the opening of the school, saying that no formal education opportunities had been available in the area for decades, and that the new facility will benefit all children in the district.
